About Maze — how to play

About Moyako Maze

Moyako Maze is a spatial-navigation game where you guide a marker from entry to exit through a procedurally generated grid. Each maze is new — never the same layout twice. Four difficulty tiers — Small (10×10), Medium (15×15), Large (20×20) and Expert (30×30 with one-way corridors) — scale grid size, wall density and trick structures. Sessions run 30 seconds to 4 minutes and every solved maze counts toward your daily streak.

How to Play

  1. Pick a difficulty tier and press Start Maze. Your marker spawns at the green entry; the goal is the red exit.
  2. Swipe in any cardinal direction (or use the on-screen arrows / arrow keys) to move one cell at a time. Walls block movement; the marker stops cleanly against them.
  3. Use Peek (long-press the centre button) to briefly overlay the full maze. Peek burns score per second so treat it as a last-resort orientation tool.
  4. Backtrack freely — no turn limit, no dead-end penalty beyond the time bonus ticking down.
  5. Reach the exit to score. The score rewards short paths and penalises peeks. Perfect-path runs unlock a streak badge.
