About Slide Out — how to play
About Slide Out
Slide Out is a sliding-boat puzzle. The harbour is packed with boats,
and the panda's red boat needs a clear lane to reach the open sea. Each
boat slides only along its own row or column and can never be lifted off
the water, so every move opens one path and closes another. Five
difficulty tiers run from a gentle few-move warm-up to expert tangles,
and each level you clear feeds your daily streak and leaderboard rank.
How to Play
- Pick a difficulty tier and press Start.
- The boats begin arranged for that level, just like a page in the puzzle booklet.
- Drag a boat along its lane to slide it — across or down. Boats can't be lifted out of place, only slid.
- Prefer buttons? Tap a boat to select it, lock the centre control, and steer with the arrows.
- Clear a path and slide the panda's red boat out through the opening on the right to reach the open sea.
Skills Used
- Spatial — reading how the boats fit together and where each one can go
- Planning — thinking a few slides ahead to open the red boat's lane
- Pattern — spotting the order of moves that untangles the jam
Tips for Better Play
- Find the boat directly blocking the red lane first, then work out what is blocking that one.
- A boat you slid one way can slide back — there is no penalty for undoing a move.
- Fewer moves score higher, so look for the shortest path before you start sliding.
